Wylde BMX Trail Etiquette

Remember these few simple rules to make the ride fun for everyone:

 

  1. Entering – Only enter the trail at the beginning – do not enter at any other point.

  2. One Way – This is a one way track, only ride in one direction follow signs and trail markers.

  3. Keep Moving – Do not stop anywhere on the trail.  Pull off the Trail if you are not moving.

  4. Berms & Turns – Do not ride or sit on the tops of berms/turns or slide down them.

  5. Closed when Wet – To avoid damage, do not ride the trail when it is wet.

 

Specific Hazards
  • Jumps of varying heights and lengths

  • Steeply banked berms and turns

  • Changes in surface conditions

 

Protective Riding Gear

To ride at Wylde MTB Trail it is MANDATORY that you wear a bicycle helmet that meets Australian Standard 2063. If your helmet meets this standard it will have an Australian Standards sticker inside it.

Greater Sydney parklands strongly recommends that while riding at Wylde you wear the following protective gear:

  • Helmet (Australian standard 2036)
  • Eye protection
  • Long sleeves
  • Body Armour
  • Elbow guards
  • Riding gloves
  • Long pants
  • Knee pads
  • Shoes
